Hi and welcome to the presentation/review of Vinculum tweak by @william_vab who is widely known for his work on the hit tweak Boxy, featured last week on here and this is his new tweak Nexus.
So what’s Nexus all about, well in a nutshell Vinculum is an App Drawer Tweak with a difference as in with most App Drawer tweaks they just give you an App Drawer with Nexus it gives you more customisation than any others available and it’s accessible via the Dock on your iPhone, so you drag the dock up from bottom and the App Drawer or Dock Drawer appear with all icons inside.
Vinculum allows you to hide icons on your Homescreen too, this is done either in jiggly mode by pressing the hide button on bottom corner of Icon or by going into the preference settings of Vinculum and toggling hide on each icon. This is a great feature if you like to have a minimal set up on your iPhone as some like just Dock Icons and say an iWidget on their Homescreen which is a great feature and would allow you to hide icons without having to spend time individually moving each icon to a different page. This feature will be a hit with themers.
Other settings you’ll find in Vinculum are things like whether the Dock Drawer is light or dark, as well as changing icon sizes inside the App Drawer and even spacing between icons, so you have 3 icon sizes Small Medium & Large and you also have options like having the choice to have labels on icons. 4 Spacing options available too 5px 10px 15px & 20px.
You will have plenty of choice to have this great Dock Drawer Tweak looking how you want it to look, also hiding the Drawer Grabber is an option too and an option to Automatically Search for apps which basically just pulls keyboard up and just needs you to type the app you want to find. Hiding apps is a great feature and the fact it hides them with no need for a respring and in fact a respring isn’t needed for any of the options you choose which is great as having to respring 20+ times to have something working as you want is a nightmare.
The UI is also very nice and not complicated so it’s easy to use and very user friendly.
