Genous

Hi and welcome to a quick review of Genous by BroganMinerDev who also brought us Anchor.

Genous is a tweak that allows you to set a custom amount of rows and and let’s you manually move the rows and coloumns as well as change icon sizes too and also labels too.
To get Genous to work you must first put the icons into “jiggly mode” and then double tap the Homescreen and the menu will come up for you to adjust and mess about with. If you slide the button that says “Edit Size” this will give you 4 directional arrows for you to drag around and move to how you want. You can also set each page to a different amount of rows and coloumns which others like Boxy do not offer. If you wanted an alternative to Boxy then this is it.

Now in the time since its release Genous has had some stick, it’s had performance issues and also issues with Anemone overlays not changing size when reducing icon sizes, it was a first release and we should all expect a few teething problems. Genous had a big update about 8 days ago and that fixed all issues that myself and others had pointed out, now there are still a few issues such as compatibility with a few other tweaks and Anchor and Springtomize3 are amongst those, I anticipate that these will be fixed shortly.
